DIY | Christmas Decoration Pine Cone Garland

Christmas is almost upon us and I really getting in the Christmas spirit! I thought I'd share with you a cheap, easy and pretty DIY decoration. All you need is a couple of supplies.

- Pine cones (I am using 13)
- Twine (NOT white)
- Screw eye hooks (can get from any DIY store)

First you need to get your hands on some pine cones. You can either buy them or go to a local park/footpath. If you pick them up off the floor you may want to stand them in old egg boxes to dry out for a couple of days to a week.

After drying you'll need to use a pair of pliers, if you are under 16 please ask a responsible adult to do this stage, to screw in the hooks. You literally need to just twist the screw in, applying a reasonable amount of pressure.

After all the screws are in simply just thread the twine through the hooks and tie a small knot around the hook to avoid it moving and you all ready to hang for Christmas. You could also add bows through the hooks for a extra festive look.

Let me know how you get on :)
